</div>Probably, for the one specific example of using a different trunk, but<br>
that doesn't solve the problem I asked about: using a dial pattern to<br>
change variables or other session state then returning to waiting for<br>
an extension to be dialled. Changing the TRUNK global is just one<br>
thing that could be done with it. Other example use cases might be<br>
changing outbound caller ID, setting up call recording, etc.<br>

The WaitExten suggestion was pretty close.. it does what I want, but<br>
