ok, I just recompiled Asterisk to an older release: version 1.4.21.2 down from 1.4.23.1 and I got my conference rooms back. It seems in the make menuconfig (when compiling Asterisk) the chan_zap option is no longer available in 1.4.23.1 - maybe this is the cause? Could someone shed some light on why the chan_zap option was removed from the menuconfig?
I did rebuild zaptel. No zaptel cards in the system - using ztdummy. Here's the output showing the lsmod and the error when the conference extension is dialed. Still get the message "That is not a valid Conference number - please try again" and produces the following error - see paste below:
When I dial the extension of a meetme conference room, I get a message that
states "is not a valid conference". The meetme app was working before.

I am getting this error on the CLI:
app_meetme.c:800 build_conf: Unable to open pseudo device

Do an lsmod.
You need to have a real zaptel device providing timing with the driver
for that card loaded, or ztdummy loaded.

Any chance your kernel was updated lately? You need to rebuild zaptel when the kernel changes.

Thanks in advance,
