asterisk is running without fault. And the file what you asked was in their location as you can see below. My asterisk version is <B>"Asterisk 1.2.26.1 svn rev 79171". </B>I have checked owner group and it seems "asterisk:asterisk". <BR>

That typically means that Asterisk isn't running, or that the
asterisk.ctl file is in a different location. Is Asterisk running? If
so, can you find the asterisk.ctl file that was created when it was
started?
