<p class=MsoNormal>[sorry if re-post – first mail to the list and did not
get confirmation for earlier mail]<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Dear all.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Not sure what‘s the best way to describe the scenario
and having searched all over the place without luck, I hope some of you may
have the correct answer to this scenario:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>I have an incoming PRI connection to Asterisk 1.4.2.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>In the office we have two SIP phones and one Zap analog
wireless phone.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Incoming calls are sent to these three phones in the dial
plan extensions.ael with:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>
Dial(Zap/67&SIP/baldvin&SIP/david/${EXTEN}, 50);<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>1) A new call comes in<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>2) All phones ring and the first one to pick up the handset
gets the call.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>3) A new call comes in.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>4) The two phones NOT currently busy will ring.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>5) The phone answering the first call hangs up.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>6) I would not WANT the third phone to also start ringing...
but this does not work like that.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The problems I have are two:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>A) The phone answering the first call does not start ringing
when it becomes available again. It only starts ringing if its free at the
moment when the call starts to ring.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>B) Using the above way to route calls to the phones, the SIP
phone NOT answering a call registers a MISSED CALL. I would want the phone to
know that the call is not in fact MISSED but was handled by another phone!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Should any of you have any information to share regarding
the best way to configure Asterisk for this scenario, it is much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and perhaps respond.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Sincerely,<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Baldvin<o:p></o:p></p>
