software PBX or not?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I reside in Japan and my office has a ISDN line
with 2 numbers.<BR>I am currently using analogue phones which are connected to
my router(yamaha RT 57i) which has router/Voip/VPN functions.<BR>So my ST line
is connected to my ST port of the router and tel lines are connected to the
analogue ports(2)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Now I am moving to a bigger office and require a
pbx.<BR>What I want to know can is can I configure a pbx using Asterisk as all
the hardware I saw didn't seem to support ISDN?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Also I see I may have two options </FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1. Leave the tel lines connected to the router and
just run asterisk as a software solution that communicates over the lan with my
router for incoming and outgoing calls.<BR>Although not sure if this can
work????</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2. Connect my tel lines to the computer running
asterisk and do standard config. Can this work when my line is
ISDN???</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Please give me an idea how and if I can
proceed.</FONT></DIV>
