<HR>
Greetings.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>In order to test * for a simple installation, i've installed a passive isdn
card (ASUSCOM in-100-p pci) that I know it's recorded to work under linux.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>When i put in modem.conf the line device=/dev/ttyIx (where X is any number,
first strange thing) it starts well and reports "Registered channel modem[i4l]
on /dev/ttyIx.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>When I try to make a call, it reports that the device "ttyIx" is "lacking
dialtone".</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If i try to call from outside the number of the line which is attached to
the isdn card, nothing happens, it rings but * doesn't recognise the incoming
call.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I'm not sure if it is a case in which I've to patch kernel for dtmf
detection since I'm not very expert of this situations.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I've searched on the archives but every case present showed problems on
incoming OR outgoing calls, never both.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks,</DIV>
