Ok - updating the firmware on teh device - factory reset, re-config.
Capabilities: us - (g726|slin16|ulaw|alaw|gsm), peer -
audio=(ulaw|alaw|g726|slin16)/video=(nothing)/text=(nothing), combined -
(g726|slin16|ulaw|alaw)
Looking much better.
