Here is the respective section from my working 7906 .conf file:
<dateTimeSetting>
<dateTemplate>M/D/Ya</dateTemplate>
<timeZone>Central Standard/Daylight Time</timeZone>
<ntps>
<ntp>
<name>172.29.100.11</name>
<ntpMode>Unicast</ntpMode>
</ntp>
</ntps>
</dateTimeSetting>
172.29.100.11 is my local sntp server.
