For the most part, if it worked in 1.8.5 it should work in 1.8.8.1 unless
specifically noted in changes.

How can I test this solution on a 1.8.8.1 system ?
If I'm not mistaken, diff https://reviewboard.asterisk.org/r/1619 do not
apply to 1.8.8.1.
