Just wondering is it safe to use asterisk 1.8 latest branch on production ?

Buyer beware - have you been following the "Are we ready to leave 1.4
behind" thread?  1.8 is solid on most functions, but some of the new
functionality is still "buggy".  If you are replacing an existing 1.4 or 1.6
install and don't opt for new features, you should be fine.
