Good and free are mutualy exclusive :)

Free may have good audio quality, but usually means zero support.

I've had a DID from Vitelity.net for many years. $1.50 a month for the DID 
and 1.4 cents per minute (rates may have changed slightly). You have to 
burn about 3,000 minutes a month before you exceed the monthly standing 
charges for a landline. I kick $20 into my prepaid account a couple of 
times a year and I'm set.
