It seems to be the effect of something else - or perhaps an older
asterisk version. I wrote a quick script that ran 80 calls in ~ 0.2
seconds with no problems what so ever.
I am using asterisk 1.6.2.1, and the script authenticated for each time,
and used the originate-application for it's calls.
