[asterisk-users] OT - log rotation

Hi,

It seems Asterisk needs to be notified that log rotation happened tough
applications like astmanproxy or FOP doesn't need to be restarted (nor
notified of any rotation).
Is this personal observation true ?
How could this be explained ?
