If you're actually 'sitting' at the *nix console, use CTRL+PageUP to scroll back up in the buffer.
If you ARE using the console directly, it's time to switch to SSH so that you have some scrollback buffer easily available. And so that you don't have to sit next to your * server when you're working on it...
Otherwise, use more -or- less to view the output of a * command:
`asterisk -r -x "help" | more`
This will paginate and you can scroll through the pages using spacebar.
