Topic 6: RE:unable to execute command
hi there
i tried to execute the command as suggest like
exten => 1987,1,Playback(posix-restarting)
exten => 1987,2,wait(1)
exten => 1987,3,System(/usr/bin/python /home/docas/Desktop/mess1.py)
exten=> 1987,4,Hangup
it still doesn't work,now it does it give unable to execute command but
it doesn't reach the system command it just execute 1 and 2 priority and
then hangup,i checked if the script is executed and i found out its
not.i did change permissions so the script is executable;
i would apreciate if someone help

With GoToIfTime, how to define a period of holiday that starts at the
end of the month and ends at the beginning of the next month ??
Like September 25th till October 10th when incoming calls need to go to
the voicemail...

I've had the same problem.
Unless somebody corrects me, you have to break it into two or more
rules. Sorry. You can wildcard the days at end of month in one rule,
and wildcard the days at the beginning of other month with rule two.

GotoIfTime is about using the proper ranges of times, days of the week
and months and the months in the year. Check voip-info.org GotoIfTime
part. I think you need one line per month. The examples are clear.

hi
i am trying to execute the command from the dialplan as follows:
exten => 1987,1,Playback(posix-restarting)
exten => 1987,2,wait(1)
exten => 1987,3,System(/home/docas/Desktop/python mess1.py)
exten => 1987,4,Hangup
i get the error on asterisk CLI system_exec_helper:Unable to execute
"/home/docas/Desktop/python mess1.py "
can anybody please help me on what i am doing wrong

Is the 'python' interpreter binary actually located in
/home/docas/Desktop? That seems unlikely, somehow, though I guess
logically possible.
If it does, in fact, exist there, does it have execute permissions?
I would recommend:
which python
On my system, that results in:
sasha at abalashov-laptop:~$ which python
/usr/bin/python
From which it follows that I would do:
System(/usr/bin/python /home/docas/Desktop/mess1.py)
