Maybe "silence suppression" was the wrong wording.
I ask this, because i run a small network of Asterisk boxes (called PRAIL)
which peer to link PMR/CB radio and want to mix both app_rpt and RoA based
gateways/nodes with an eye on bandwidth usage.
