thank you for the link, as a matter of fact I was reading this but it
is not very clear to me:
--- QUOTE ---
Settings/user failover identity
Settings
• Web User Interface:
• V7: Identities - Login Information(Section): Failover Identity
• V8: Identities - Login Information(Section): Failover Identity
• Description: This identity will be used as a backup for failover
i.e. if the current identity is not registered, this identity is used
instead.
• Valid values: none, 1, 2,3....x (Max. No. of lines i.e. 4 or 12)
• Default value: none
--- QUOTE ---
It does tell that failover is used if the first identity is not
registered, however, HOW is this detected, what does NOT REGISTERED
mean? Will it be detected if the first is registered, but the server
goes down? The phone will find in this case that an INVITE is not
working, will this trigger as well a switchover?
How does the (if at all) failback work? Is it trying to register to
the first Identity in intervals? Will it just stay with the second
Identity?
I was hoping someone can explain to me how this will work :-) It is
very tiresome trying to find out this sort of thing with trial/error
and sniffing around.
