We have probably 40 SPA2100/2102 that use T.38 to connect to a Cisco
gateway for fax. Once we get the settings right, it seems to work
probably 95% of the time. We had big issues with any of the 5.x
versions of software and have stayed on 3.3.6 on both the 2100 and 2102.
This isn't exactly what you are doing, but it might be useful info.
