I use a simple Perl script (attached) to generate a template for each new phone. This keeps the
fiddling to a minimum. It's meant to be fed the output of nmap like this: "nmap -sP 10.1.1.0/24 |
./checkExten.pl". Replace "10.1.1.0/24" with whatever IP range you use for your phones, of course.
You'll also have to change the "Dummy Extension" registration parameters and the "mycompany"
settings with whatever is appropriate for your site.
