[asterisk-users] Had it with Dell Garbage - HP Question

Could you elaborate a bit more on :
"For example, if I install zaptel from source, your support contract 
with them is void."

Does this mean it is impossible to run Asterisk on Vendor Supported 
versions of RedHat or Suse ?
