I would recommend you start by using free softphones like X-Lite,
Gizmo project, Zoiper.
Then, when you're ready, choose a hardphone by price and quality
needed between Grandstream, Sipura, Polycom and Cisco not to mention
Snom or Aastra that have a lot of models as well.
