Jumping up on my syslog soapbox...

Check out "man syslog." If it fits your needs, logging to syslog is 
trivial. For example:

 	syslog(LOG_ERR, "The value of foo is %s", bar);

If not, how about:

) Did you read all of the AGI environment from stdin?

) Why not use the agi command verbose?
