[asterisk-users] zaptel make problem

I have run the ./configure (actually for zaptel it is
menuselect/configure)... There is no error message, the make just hangs
with the last message to console "config.status: creating
./config.status". The last item in the config.log is "configure: exit
0".

Hmmm.... You left out the error message, which was probably something of
the sort of: "please run ./configure before make" .
Next time rune:
./configure
make
This time make ran ./configure for you .
Now shouldn't autoconf generate the makefile to prevent such errors?
