Working fine here with  Asterisk 1.2.22, SpanDSP 0.0.3, LibTIFF 3.8.2 &
Linux 2.6.16.27-0.9-smp (SuSE).

SuSE also includes the asterisk-spandsp package that includes
app_dtmftotext, app_rxfax & app_txfax :)
