I'm going to jump in here without reading everything... You said you can
log into your email. Yes, you can. You can also login with a softphone on
that same system at an Internet Cafe, as long as you remember your login
credentials for your SIP device. As Steve said, the LAST device to register
will ring. Do you expect your email to show up on every computer? No, only
the one you are logged into. Same as Asterisk. I can carry a phone with
me, and plug it in and access my Asterisk server. I can login using
softphones. Whatever phone I am on will ring.
That's just like your email analogy.
