[asterisk-users] Problem in installing libmfcr2 for configuring MFC/R2

I think you did not installed properly the libraries. libmfcr2 check for:
checking tiffio.h usability... yes
checking tiffio.h presence... yes
checking for tiffio.h... yes
checking for TIFFOpen in -ltiff... yes
That is, you need to have BOTH, headers and shared library.
ldd in protocol_mfcr2.so shows:
libtiff.so.3 => /usr/lib/libtiff.so.3
Where do you have libtiff installed?
