[asterisk-users] res_osp.c not compiled

on start asterisk -vvvc fails with the following.

__load_resource: /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/chan_sip.so: undefined
symbol: ast_osp_terminate
Sep  2 13:06:44 WARNING[20066]: loader.c:554 load_modules: Loading
module chan_sip.so failed!

The function ast_osp_terminate is in res/res_osp.c. After running make
there is no res/res_osp.so.

This is the same whether using asterisk-1.2.11 downloaded from
http://www.asterisk.org/ or emerging gentoo's latest asterisk-1.2.9.1
from gentoo.org.

using Linux 2.6.17-gentoo-r2

What is the solution?
