[asterisk-users] FW: CISCO 7960G & Asterisk

In a previous life we deployed the 7940s and 7960s with an Asterisk box. We had 40-50 phones deployed across the internet using SIP. They seemed to work great. However, we had lots of problems with our upstream IP trunks, but that was because our management was too cheap to get us any closer to the IP trunking provider. We had 12 hops through the internet between our Asterisk server and the gateway to the PSTN and we were in the same building as them!

Well,

are you considering using the phone with the SCCP(skinny) protocol or SIP.

I was wondering if people have experienced issues with Cisco 7960G and Asterisk.

Any feedback on people's experience deploying this phone in production environments would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
