Generally, to receive the discount, there is some language surrounding a UL listed central station.
Dialup POTS is one way alarms are connected to central stations. There are also systems which use
a dedicated (non-dial) line, IP, Cellular and even a relatively new system which uses the skytel
pager network to communicate.
