I concur with you on the genuine Krone tool, but I'm no fan of their patch
panels.

I find STP patch panels are much nicer to work with (even where STP isn't a
requirement).

On cable, we tend to use Belden or Excel, depending on which supplier has
adequate stock at the time we need it.

In the UK, I'd highly recommend Rotronic as a good source of patch panels
and cable.
