[asterisk-users] IAXy can't connect to analog phone

I have just purchased an IAXy and cannot get an analog telephone to work 
with it. The provisioning is succesful and the asterisk server sees it 
and you can call it.

Symptoms:
- network status light is on solid
- telephone status light flashes every 7 or 8 seconds
- no dialtone and no response to phone
- when dialing the device the phone status light flashes on ring but the 
telephone does not ring
- tried 2 different phones, same result
- reset to factory and reprovisioned, same result

Is the device defective?
