Asterisk 1.0.1 was probably released sometime in the fall of 2004.
There have been literally 20 additional releases since then.

I would first recommend that you see if your custom patch is still
applicable the latest release (1.2.10).  Then, if you require the use of
the 1.0 series of Asterisk, try the latest version of 1.0 (1.0.11).
