R: [Asterisk-Users] direct sip call pickup

What you were trying to do, *8#exten, is almost right I think.  Look at 
it like this instead, though.  The # is a pickup group number:

*8x
where x is the pickup group you want to pick up a call from.  I could be 
wrong but that's how I understood it.
