The information you have received so far is correct; there is no need to 
disable the software echo canceller, as Zaptel will notice the presence 
of the hardware and use it instead. In the current driver there is no 
way to choose echo tails longer than 16ms, even if you are using less 
the maximum number of channels on the board. Even when the driver 
supports that, it won't be 'dynamic', the channels/tails assignments 
will be done when the module is configured via ztcfg.
