I was told you can leave echocancel=yes with no problems, the drivers will
see it and take over if the echocancel card is present.
I have found no method of monitoring echo cancellation(other than listening
for echo on live calls) without altering asterisk or zaptel code. But there
are no tools for it built in to asterisk or zaptel.
Currently the echo tails are hardcoded and are not configurable. I think
it's set at 16ms for all channels on the card. Talking with support at
Digium and they said it may be an option to set it differently in a future
driver version.
