Subject: [Asterisk-Users] FCC VoIP wiretap ruling challenged
For providers operating with either american customers and/or in america
they may want to read this and possibly support one or more of the
groups that are fighting this. Either by writing letters in support or
financially (EFF at least is nonprofit, dont know about CDTs legal
status).

A group of privacy advocates and technology companies on Tuesday filed
court papers to challenge a ruling by the U.S. Federal Communications
Commission (FCC), saying it overstepped its authority by requiring VOIP
(voice over Internet Protocol) providers to allow wiretapping by law
enforcement agencies.
