[Asterisk-Users] Can you use Polycom 500 with PoE Switch?

Robert - The Polycom IP500 can be powered via PoE, but it will require a
special cable in order to do so.
Also you need to know what type of PoE device you are using to power
your Polycom phones.
If you are using a Cisco PoE capable switch, such as the
WS-C3550-24PWR-SMI, WS-C3524-PWR-XL-EN, or any other Cisco PoE device,
then you
need this specific Polycom PoE Cable - Polycom Model # 2200-11014-002
If you are using any other 802.3af PoE switch or midspan device to power
your phones,
you need this Polycom PoE Cable - Polycom Model # 2200-11077-002
Kind of tricky, to review....
2200-11014-002 for "Cisco" PoE Switches or Injectors
2200-11077-002 for any other type of PoE Switch, Midspan or Injector
