just press Ctrl-C or type exit
You will kill asterisk, of course...
Start asterisk by typing asterisk
and then go to CLI by typing asterisk -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvr
then, when u will quit, asterisk will not be killed
U will be then in CLI mode
have fun

Objet : [Asterisk-Users] How to exit from Asterisk console.
I am new to Asterisk.
Asterisk 1.2
I started * like this: asterisk -vvvvvgc
now I am in CLI mode: *CLI>
How do I get out this CLI mode to linux shell without kill asterisk process?
I tried EXIT, QUIT, exit and quit. None of them work.
If I use ^c, this also kill asterisk process.
