If this is all you want, then it can be done like this:
create a .call file that drops into a context that does the following
1. calls the polycom phone and before doing so sets the autoanswer feature.
2. sends the text using the sendtext app (available in CVS-HEAD)
3. hangsup the call.
This will show a new message to the button that was active on the
call. Of course it means that if the DND is set, or the lines are
busy, that the message will not arrive.
