I just tested this yesterday as the resort I am installing at has two card
machines.
I found that the call had to go through the line designated for that
function, but that may be particular to this location.
The lines are terminated in an Adtran Channel Bank, and routing the call to
a PSTN line worked without any problem. The call does go to the US but I did
not try sending it over IP as we don't pay for it anyway, the bank pays the
charges.
