[Asterisk-Users] Polycom IP 500 caller id

You would want to put the number in the following fields....

reg reg.1.displayName="" 
reg.1.address="" 
reg.1.label="" 
reg.1.auth.userId="" 

Assuming you are using a recent bootrom and sip.

Doesn't the IP500 only support 3 line appearances?

i'm trying to set up outboud caller ID on 3 polycom ip 500 phones.  here
is how i have them set up.

each phone is using 2 lines, all registered to *

phone 1 line 1 is registered using the DID, and the next 5 lines reg to
03152
03153
03154
03155
03156

from my understanding, the way the polycom configs are set, i have to
put the 03152 in the reg.x.address field.  and it seems that is where
its grabbing the ID from for caller id.  when i make a call with first
phone first line,  it shows as the correct number,  but if i use the
second line it shows as 03152 for caller ID.  i have tried setting all
the reg.x.displayname fields to the number i want it set at, but it
didnt change anything.  i think i may be missing some field on the
phone.  or is there a way to set the caller id's in *?  maybe in each
ones sip.conf entry?

any help is appriciated, thank you
