[Asterisk-Users] Silly version question

    This is going to seem like a stupid question but its been bugging me.
According to documentation I have read. The current stable release of 
Asterisk is 1.07
(which is available for download from ftp.asterisk.org in a tarball). 
However  I should
also be able to download the current stable version via cvs. However for 
some reason
the Asterisk version thats available via cvs is version 1.04. So the 
question is which is
the most stable code, sense both are considered "stable".
