On Telus this facility is called Station Level Billing and allows you to transmit your prefered originating number as part of the PRI NI-2 signalling for outbound calls. The CLID name is then presented based on the directory name for that particular number, rather than the default pilot number and name. Handy for sites with departmental DID numbers who want to maintain their individual identities however it's not cheap.

Telus's service also causes your corporate long distance phone bill to come seperated out and grouped based on the originating number - hence Station Level Billing.
