You don't go in and out of red alarm on a timing issue.  Check the cabling, 
I've seen cables that look just fine until you wiggle them.  The MICS should 
give you som ekind of indication too in its event logs.

I have the zaptel card NOT syncing to the MICS, since hte MICS is designed to 
sync to the telco (it can be a itming master but that's not it's normal mode 
of operation).
