I'm not the OP, but thought I'd add what my TDM04b is using:
echotraining=800
echocancel=yes
echocancelwhenbridged=yes
rxgain=5.0
txgain=0.0
Things are working pretty good. (No other changes at all when
compiling cvs-head.)
