[Asterisk-Users] cisco 7920 makes 7940 reboot

I have asterisk 1.09 running with chan_sccp.20050701 on Fedora core 4 with
kernel 2.6.12.

I have a Cisco 7940 working with X-lite working on XP too, connecting to
each other, Asterisk and FWD. The 7940 upgraded to SIP7.4 with
xmlDefault.cnf.XML getting delivered via tftp using the loadInformation8
parameter method taken from voip-info.org ("Configuring Cisco 79xx phones
with Asterisk" page) - worked fine once I had all the capital letters in the
right place ;-) This does not use the OS79XX.TXT file as far as I can
understand.

I can get the 7920 working with chan_sccp too, although the labels on the
display don't come up. This just picks up its SEP(MAC).cnf.xml from tftp
and boots fine too - nothing seems to be required in OS79XX.TXT as mine has
POO3-07-4-00 in it, but I don't think that's used by the new Cisco loaders.

2 problems though:-

1.	As soon as the 7920 boots, the 7940 reboots and gets as far as the
Configuring IP message and sticks there until I manually reboot the 7940
after switching off the 7920.

2.	Calls made & received on the 7920 from the softphone on XP OK but once
hung up it wont make another call & I need to turn it off & on again.
Asterisk console says there is no active channel and I need to "resart now"
Asterisk to get it going again.

Another less critical point is that the 7940 picks up time & date from an
ntp server on my LAN ok but after a few hours that part of the phone screen
goes blank and the 7940 status messages say its not receiving updates from
the time server.

Any ideas?

Mark.
