do you think of something to interconnect
to GSM carriers via cable (GSM-A) or do you
think about using a GSM-modem with all its
limitations?

For the first option I could forward your email address
to someone providing GSM-A stacks for asterisk.

For the second option, it might be interesting for you,
that we are currently also working on asterisk support
for a GSM-modem.
