I am taking it for granted that you have configured * correctly for
E-Mail notification. 

If you are not receiving e-mail then I would look at your sendmail
configuration.  The easiest way to configure it is to use the
Smarthost=xxxxxx in sendmail conf to point to your SMTP gateway
