[Asterisk-Users] Serial access control

I need to install Asterisk at home on a PC(Nokia P020) that only has a
serial port.  Can the program be configured to work with the console
port?  I seen configs for RH but I wanted to know if anyone has
configured CentOS to work with the serial port.   I've installed
Monowall on the Nokia so I know I will work with Linux.
