[Asterisk-Users] pseudo-realtime??

hi

a short test:

- ssh into a box from an ssh window
- asterisk -gvvvvvcp
- close window

asterisk box now hangs and doesn't even take a Alt+SysRq+B

is this "pseudo" realtime? I thought the "pseudo" realtime threads 
allowed others to run as well....
Is it possible to have asterisk start with high priority, also for I/O 
etc without using -p?
